Global classifieds at scale, through a historic transition

  • A front-row seat to one of tech’s biggest transformations: when eBay spun off its Classifieds Group to merge with Schibsted’s Adevinta in 2020, I navigated the technical and cultural integration while maintaining analytics excellence across platforms serving millions globally.
  • Built and deployed ML models processing millions of listings across Vivanuncios, Gumtree, and other leading marketplaces — learning what it takes to operationalize AI at global scale.
  • Led analytics across 15+ countries, adapting methodologies for different market maturities while maintaining consistent quality standards.
  • Navigated the complexities of merging analytics teams, systems, and cultures during one of the largest classifieds mergers in history.

The breakthrough

It started with a spreadsheet. In my first corporate role, I discovered a passion for turning raw data into insights. What began as Excel formulas evolved into Access databases, then SQL queries, then full analytics pipelines.

Each new tool unlocked new possibilities. But more importantly, each project taught me how to translate technical capabilities into business value — how to speak both languages fluently.

The breakthrough wasn’t mastering any single tool — it was learning to see data through the eyes of the decision-maker.

The realization

After years in enterprise environments, I noticed a pattern: mid-market companies were stuck between two bad options.

They could hire expensive consultancies that would send junior teams and leave behind PowerPoints nobody could execute. Or they could try to build everything in-house without the expertise to avoid costly mistakes.

Clarivant was born to be the third option: senior expertise from day one, hands-on execution, and results in months — not years.
